Tuesday, June 21, 2022 Ubisoft’s free-to-play title Roller Champions releases its first official season. The game started with a pre-season kick off to get players familiar with the game, and have promised game changing updates as we see more seasons! If you’ve played Rocket League, our derby updates will likely be similar to the Rocket League set up: with special game modes and new courses released now and then. And of course with a new season, we will see more cosmetics.
Roller Champions is free-to-play, though the developers can still make money through micro transactions. Most players will likely opt to buy some in game Wheels to pay for the Roller Pass Premium upgrade that allows players even more unlocks as they progress levels.

Roller Champions comes to Nintendo Switch
Ubisoft already allows for Crossplay by default for a bigger player base, and has promised fans they are working on resolving cross-platform party invites so we will one day be able to team up with any of our friends easier through their Ubisoft Platform. Now all players will be seeing a new fan base join the player pool as fans of Nintendo Switch will be able to play too!
Nintendo fans can also catch a first impression lets play glimpse at the new Mario Strikers Battle League.
Disco Fever
Season 1 drops under the name Disco Fever. This theme will carry into some funky cosmetic items for players as well as offer 3 new courses for players to skate around in, including: Venice Beach, Staten Island, and Brooklyn (LA & NY). A neat Easter egg thrown into the Pre-Season cosmetics of Roller Champions were some shirts that referenced Brooklyn.
New Sponsors come to Roller Champions! As well some new Game Modes / mini games.
Stephane Drapeau, a Product Manager also announced the game coming to Epic Games Store which will help many more PC players join too!
This Summer we can expect 60 tiers to Roller Pass and Special Events to spice up the Summer! We will be happy to share more videos and #shorts when the new Courses arrive

The positive response has us interested in making more quick guide videos in the future. Feel free to leave a comment if you have a question about the game!
Some useful advice to have a bit more fun with defense, aim your tackles (or double tap for dives) in anticipation of where the player with the ball will be next. You can even knock down the best wall rides with a well timed tackle.
And a good team will always beat a good player! Sometimes this game can leave you to yourself though. This is our motivation video to never give a game up.
